Charleston, SC – On Thursday, January 14 at 5:00pm, the South Carolina Democratic Party will be gathering with party members and activists outside of the North Charleston Coliseum to rally for the new south and protest the Republican presidential debate.
“We’re gathering today to rally for a New South, one that thrives on diversity and inclusivity,” said SCDP political director, Jessica Church. “Our party officials and members believe in building a state, region, and country that offers opportunities for everyone to get ahead, not just those with wealth and influence. The hateful rhetoric we’ve learned to expect from the GOP should have no place in politics and Democrats demand better. That’s why we’re rallying tonight.”
