SCDP CHAIR STATEMENT ON TRUMPCARE VOTE NOT HAPPENING TONIGHT
Columbia, SC – South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement on House Republicans abandoning their plan to hold a vote tonight on the American Health Care Act, also known as Trumpcare:
“Donald Trump and House Republicans’ failure to agree on the precise nature of the cruelty they wish to inflict is a hopeful sign for the hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians who will lose their health insurance if Trumpcare becomes law. But the fight is far from over. Democrats will continue to work to improve the Affordable Care Act and will steadfastly oppose continued Republican attempts to make America sick again.”
