Trumpcare has passed the House. Mark Sanford, Joe Wilson, Jeff Duncan, Trey Gowdy, and Tom Rice should be ashamed of themselves. If this bill is enacted into law, more than 20 million Americans will lose health insurance, and thousands will die prematurely. Trumpcare would return to the days when having a pre-existing condition means you can’t get coverage. House Republicans’ cruel and immoral disregard for people’s lives is stunning, and South Carolinians will not stand for it.
Here’s the good news: WE CAN STILL STOP THIS MONSTROUS BILL. Senators must have absolutely no doubt that their constituents reject Trumpcare and will reject them if they vote for it. You know what to do: HIT THE PHONES!

In addition, the two remaining Republican candidates in the 5th Congressional District, Ralph Norman and Tommy Pope, have ducked the issue, even though it is entirely possible that an amended of version of Trumpcare could come back before the House after the special election. It is absolutely essential that voters know where they stand, and absolutely essential that they join Archie Parnell in opposing this lethal bill.
