Shaundra Young Scott

SCDP Director of Voter Protection, Shaundra Young Scott. Shaundra is attorney and the former Deputy Political Director for the Kamala Harris campaign in South Carolina. Prior to her campaign work, Shaundra served as the Executive Director for the American Civil Liberties Union of South Carolina. In addition, she worked as an attorney for SC Legal Services for a decade and represented low-income South Carolinians across the state.

Voter Protection Organizing Director

Philisea Matthews

Philisea Matthews is the Voter Protection Organizing Director for the South Carolina Democratic Party. She resides in Batesburg-Leesville and is a proud graduate of USC-Aiken with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Prior to the Voter Protection Unit, she worked as a field organizer on Presidential campaigns for Kamala Harris and Deval Patrick. Philisea has completed numerous campaign trainings from the DNC, SCDP, Emerge, Higher Heights for America, and the Congressional Black Caucus Institute. She is a vice chair for the Saluda County Democratic Party!

Stephanie McCummings

Advocacy in action, Ms. McCummings has worked on many grassroots local campaigns and currently serves a volunteer with various organizations dedicated to serving the needs of children, families, and individuals across our state. She has always been heavily involved as a volunteer with numerous community and nonprofit organizations. Stephanie is very excited to be a member of the SCDP Voter Protection Unit and is committed to protecting the vote for all South Carolinians. Stephanie will be recruiting and County Liaisons in Congressional District.

Kelli R Williams is a native of Mullins, SC. Community Activist, Author, Entrepreneur, Program Director of CHFE, Community Organizer, and Philanthropist. Kelli has an undergraduate in Business Administration and minor in Finance. Kelli is the type of person who wants to serve the community, educate, and empower everyone that she touches and encounters. With her progressive ideas and ambition, Kelli is the person to create a momentum like no other. Kelli will be recruiting poll watchers in Congressional District 7!
