Columbia, SC — Ahead of Governor Henry McMaster’s Final State of the State Address tonight, South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Christale Spain released the following statement:
“After decades of one-party control by the Republican Party, the results are crystal clear: More than 587,715 South Carolinians are paying more for health care, hospitals are closing, families are struggling with rising costs, our roads and bridges have been neglected as our state falls further behind. Tonight’s State of the State should answer one question: after years of complete control of state government, why are working families still being left out? Democrats remain focused on real solutions for families and real accountability.”
