McMaster puts billionaires first and working South Carolinians last
Today, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster will deliver his State of the State address, where he will try to spin his abysmal record of higher costs, rising unemployment, and less health care for South Carolinians.
Thanks to Donald Trump and Henry McMaster, the state of South Carolina has never been worse: working families are on track to lose over $1,060 per year due to Trump’s Big Ugly Bill and failed economic policies, over 190,000 South Carolinians are set to lose their health care, while thousands more face skyrocketing premiums.
By nearly every measure, Donald Trump and Henry McMaster have failed South Carolina.
DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:
“As Henry McMaster delivers his State of the State address today, the reality for families across South Carolina is grim: costs are climbing, people are losing their jobs, and health care is becoming even more expensive and unattainable. While McMaster will attempt to gaslight working families and paper over his failures, Democrats won’t stop fighting to hold him accountable for making life more unaffordable for South Carolinians.”
