South Carolina Democratic Party Certifies 2016 Presidential Primary Ballot

Columbia, SC—The South Carolina Democratic Party Executive Council certified four candidates to appear on the Party’s 2016 Presidential preference primary ballot on Saturday, February 27, 2016.  Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, United States Senator Bernie Sanders, and Chicago businessman Dr. Willie Wilson were certified by the State Party’s Executive Council Monday.
“A Democrat will be the next President of the United States, and South Carolina Democrats are looking forward to our role in deciding and voting for our nation’s next leader in February,” SCDP Chair Jaime Harrison said.  “Democrats are so fortunate to have qualified candidates who will fight for the middle class and work to make sure everyone has an opportunity to succeed.”
