SHOT/CHASER:  Fiorina’s Disastrous Jobs Policies Hit Home for South Carolina

Sep 23, 2015

Shot:     Carly Fiorina on reauthorization of the US Export-Import Bank: “We must do away with Ex-Im.”

Chaser:     “General Electric Co. said Tuesday that it plans to put 400 jobs in France instead of at its power turbine plant in Greenville and two other U.S. locations because Congress didn’t re-authorize the Export-Import Bank of the United States.” – The Greenville News

Lime:     “Following GE, Boeing announced Tuesday that it had lost a bid to sell satellites to a Singapore-based satellite operator, Kacific, because the aerospace giant did not have the backing of a governmental export-credit agency. This news came two months after Boeing similarly lost a contract with ABS Holding, based in Bermuda, and said it would be reducing the workforce in its satellite- manufacturing business, in part because of uncertainty over the Ex-Im Bank.” – Seattle Times

“Carly Fiorina would do for the country what she did in corporate America – outsource American jobs overseas.  While this might be a boon to the French, South Carolina cannot afford Carly Fiorina’s disastrous economic policies.  If she wants to ship American jobs overseas and sell technology in Iran, she should go back to HP – but I doubt they’ll take her back.”Diane May,  Communications Director, SCDP
