Ahead of Nikki Haley’s rally in Lexington County tonight, South Carolina Democratic Party spokesperson Alyssa Bradley released the following statement:
“Since her last stop in the Palmetto State, Nikki Haley has doubled and tripled down on her MAGA agenda of raising the retirement age for Social Security and Medicare, dodging questions about her plan to ban abortion, and has continued to fail to differentiate herself from Donald Trump. South Carolinians can expect to see more of that same extremism on display tonight.”
Here’s what Haley has been up to since her last stop in South Carolina:
- After the devastating school shooting in Nashville, Nikki Haley’s immediate response was that she would not consider gun safety legislation, proving once again she’d rather play partisan politics than keep our children safe.
- Asked to answer for her own record of banning abortion in South Carolina, she defended the extreme bill she signed into law as governor.
- During a swing through New Hampshire, she continued to push her plan to end Social Security and Medicare as we know it and raise the retirement age.
