Columbia, SC—The South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Jaime Harrison issued the following statement regarding today’s town hall hosted by U.S. Senator Tim Scott with Republican Presidential candidate and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal.
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is one of many failed governors visiting the Palmetto State for Senator Scott’s town halls. From failing to expand Medicaid thereby leaving hundreds of thousands without healthcare, to gutting higher education funding, to championing the privatization of social security, Jindal’s leadership failed the people of Louisiana and would fail working families in South Carolina, and across the country, if he were elected President.”
