Columbia, SC—South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Jaime Harrison issued the following statement in regards to Republican Presidential candidate and Texas Governor Rick Perry campaigning in the Palmetto State this evening.
Oops! It looks like Governor Perry has run his campaign into the ground just like he did the state of Texas. During Perry’s tenure as Governor, state debt increased by over 170 percent. Governor Perry is one of many failed Republican governors running for President who hopes South Carolinians ignore his record of failed trickle-down economics that only benefited the wealthy and left middle-class families behind.”
