Thanks to the Biden-Harris administration, federal funds are making their way to South Carolina for high-speed internet, rebuilding our roads and bridges, and investing in our rural infrastructure. As a reminder, this critical funding comes no thanks to any of the House Republicans in South Carolina – including Rep. Nancy Mace who is all too eager to take credit for the federal dollars going to the Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA).
Mace repeatedly attacked the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, only to turn around and hold a press conference celebrating the money coming from it.
South Carolina Democratic Party spokesperson Alyssa Bradley issued the following statement in response:
“If Nancy Mace wants to tout these critical funds coming to her district, she should have voted for them. House Democrats like Congressman Jim Clyburn delivered these historic investments to South Carolinians – if it were up to Mace and a majority of her Republican colleagues, investments in CARTA wouldn’t exist.”
