Columbia, SC – South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement on the Senate confirmation of Senator Jeff Sessions to serve as Attorney General of the United States:
“If rubber-stamp Senate Republicans are going to silence civil rights supporters and empower civil rights opponents, Americans will show that we are louder and more powerful in defense of equal justice under the law.”
