Earlier this week, calls from thousands of outraged Americans forced Republicans to abandon their plan to make Congress unethical again. Now, they’re trying to make America sick again by repealing the Affordable Care Act, which has made it possible for more than 20 million Americans to obtain health insurance. We must fight stop them. Here are steps you can take right now:
1) Has your family benefited from the Affordable Care Act? Will you be harmed if it’s repealed? Share your story by emailing SaveOurHealthCare@scdp.org. Congress needs to know exactly who they will be hurting if they recklessly repeal the law.
2) Call our Republican senators and representatives at the following phone numbers and tell them not to repeal the ACA unless and until they have an alternative that covers at least as many people. Phone calls work.
