On Thursday, January 14 at 10am, a subcommittee of the Senate Medical Affairs Committee will meet regarding Senate Bill 1. SC Fetal Heartbeat Act. Despite the current global pandemic and assault on our democracy last week from a mob of Trump supporters, Senate Republicans have made taking away women’s reproductive rights their TOP priority.
Democrats, we must stop this bill from moving forward in the Senate.

Here’s how:
- [TESTIFY IN PERSON] Those who want to address the subcommittee meeting THU 1/14, in person, to OPPOSE the bill must register here BEFORE 9 AM TOMORROW (1/12)
- [WRITE] Those who wish to send written comments opposing Senate Bill 1 can do so by sending an email to smedicomm@scsenate.gov no later than 9 AM tomorrow/Tuesday January 12. IMPORTANT: You must include the bill # (S. 1) in the email subject line.
- [VIDEO] A third and virtual option allows anyone to submit a 3-minute video addressing the subcommittee about the Fetal Heartbeat Bill to smedicomm@scsenate.gov. The video must be received no later than 9 AM tomorrow, Tuesday, January 12. IMPORTANT: You must include the bill # (S. 1) in the email subject line.
