Press Conference Announcing The Marjorie Amos-Frazier Pacesetter Award 2013 Recipient

Blue Jamboree 2013 season begins Monday, September 9 when the Marjorie Amos-Frazier Pacesetter Award Committee meets to decide this year’s award recipient. The award, named for the late Amos-Frazier, who was the first woman, African American and non-legislator elected to the SC Public Service Commission, will be presented at the third annual Blue Jamboree, Saturday, October 26 at the Jenkins Institute in Charleston. The award committee includes: Montez C. Martin, Jr. chairman; Hon. Mignon Clyburn; Thomasina Smith-Cook; Vertelle Kenion; Kaye Lingle Koonce, Esq.; Dr. David E. Rivers; Fred R. Sheheen; Tessa Spencer; Hon. McKinley Washington, Jr. A press conference, immediately following the meeting, will be held to announce the 2013 recipient of the Marjorie Amos-Frazier Pacesetter Award. The public is invited to the press conference.
