Marsha Wallace of Dining for Women to speak
at July Meeting of Democratic Women of Greenville
Greenville, SC-Marsha Wallace the founder of Dining for Women will discuss changing the world one dinner at a time at the July 8th meeting of Democratic Women of Greenville County.
Dining for Women empowers women and girls living in extreme poverty in the developing world. Monthly educational dinner circles inspire individuals to broaden their global awareness, learn about gender equalities and create lasting social change through the power of collective giving.
Marshal Wallace is a former nurse, wife and mother who founded Dining for Women along with 25 friends in January of 2003. DFW recently celebrated it’s 10th anniversary and today there are more than 8,000 members and 375 chapters in the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Puerto Rico and South America. Wallace believes that empowering women and girls is the “moral challenge” of our time.
The Monday, July 8th meeting will be held at Runway Cafe at 5:30pm.
Runway Cafe is located at 21 Airport Road extension at the Greenville Downtown Airport. From Laurens Road turn onto Airport Road at the U.S. Post Office.
Reservations are required for dinner and must be made by Thursday, July 4th by calling Greenville County Democratic Headquarters at 232-5531 or headquarters@greenvilledemocrats.com The cost of the buffet dinner is $15.00 and guests are welcome to attend.
