Democratic Women of Greenville County Hosts
Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin on April 9th
Greenville, SC-Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin will be the guest speaker at the April 9th meeting of Democratic Women of Greenville County.
Mr. Steve Benjamin was elected Mayor of Columbia,SC in April 2010. Since his election Mayor Benjamin has secured more than $ 1.1 billion in regional capital investment, creating thousands of new jobs.
Prior to his election as Mayor, Mr. Benjamin served in Governor Jim Hodges cabinet as Director of Department of Probation Parole and Pardons. He served as President of student government and the student bar association at the University of SC School of Law. He is married to the Honorable DeAndrea Gist Benjamin who serves on South Carolina’s 5th Judicial Circuit. The Benjamins have two daughters.
The Monday, April 9th meeting will be held at The Original Harvey’s Family Restaurant in Greenville, beginning at 5:30PM.
