Affordable Housing the focus of April Meeting

of Democratic Women of Greenville County

 

Greenville, SC-Andy Arnold an attorney and the current Chairman of the Greenville Housing Authority and Deborah McKetty the Director of Community Works Carolina will be the guest speakers at the April 8th meeting of Democratic Women of Greenville County.

 

The mission of the Housing Authority of the City of Greenville is to promote adequate, affordable and well-maintained housing that promotes a positive family living environment. The Housing Authority owns several public housing communities as well as administers the Housing Choice Voucher program in Greenville.

 

Commmunity Works Carolina formerlly known as the Greenville Housing Fund was founded in 2008 as a housing fund and has since expanded its focus to promote affordable housing, financial stability and community economic development to empower low-wealth families and communities.

 

The Monday, April 8th meeting will be held at Fried Green Tomatoes beginning at 12:15PM. Fried Green Tomatoes is located at 1175 Woods Crossing Road in Greenville, just behind Haywood Mall.

The cost of the buffet lunch is $15.00 and guests are welcome to attend.
