SCDP CHAIR STATEMENT ON ARREST OF REP. CHRIS CORLEY
Columbia, SC – South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement today on the arrest of State Representative Chris Corley (R-Aiken) on domestic violence and weapons charges:
“Domestic violence and abuse is not something to politicize or take lightly. Today’s disturbing news reminds us that our state has a lot more work to do to eliminate the scourge of domestic violence, which claims the lives of more than 40 South Carolina women every year.”
