Whether it’s national ideologues who are being investigated for crimes, or in-state GOP leaders who’ve been indicted – ethical troubles have never kept Nikki Haley from embracing embattled GOP leaders when there’s money in it for her.
Tonight, Haley’s with GOP state Rep. Stephen Goldfinch who is currently facing a criminal charge.
Just last week, she welcomed embattled NJ Governor Chris Christie to South Carolina, whose administration has been investigated by four separate local, state and federal agencies.
Last month, Haley took her good friend, , to the home of a local SC Republican Party leader who was indicted shortly after the event.
Who could forget that her buddy Bob McDonnell was found .
Finally — Nikki Haley thinks so much of Wisconsin governor Scott Walker that she brought him out here to launch her reelection campaign. He’s facing not one, but two massive investigations where six of his associates have been convicted of wrongdoing and documents show for a group that supported him during his recall election.
How’s that for a governor who says she’s for ethics reform? Not surprising actually.
Nikki Haley has repeatedly violated ethical standards for her own personal benefit, and then covered up her bad behavior. South Carolina is ready for an honest governor and new ethical, accountable leadership.
