Job Brief
The South Carolina Democratic Party (SCDP) is seeking a Digital Content Manager to join the South Carolina Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign digital team. This position will manage & create digital media content to recruit voters and volunteers to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot in South Carolina. The Digital Content Manager will report to the Digital Organizing Director.
We are looking for individuals who have excellent multitasking skills to handle social media accounts on various platforms. If you have a creative way of thinking and are passionate about helping Democrats win in November then this is the job for you.
Responsibilities
- Create social media content to achieve voter and volunteer engagement & recruitment
- Manage and publish original, high-quality content
- Administer regional social media pages with up-to-date content
- Coordinate with the Communications Team on content creation
- Prepare weekly reports on user engagement
- Monitor staff social media accounts and report potential issues
- Create and manage content calendar for regular posting
Requirements
- Previous experience on a political campaign or legislative staff (includes volunteer or internship).
- Hands-on experience using social media with a political or issue-based campaign
- Understanding of social media analytics and content creation based on a targeted audience
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional skills
- Experience working with Slack, peer-to-peer texting tools, and Reach relational organizing tool
- Knowledge of South Carolina
- A wicked sense of humor
