[VIDEO] South Carolina Democrats React to Election Night 2020 as Party Undergoes Massive Voter Protection Effort
COLUMBIA, SC– The South Carolina Democratic Party is hard at work ensuring every vote in our state cast, is counted following election night 2020, gearing up for the 2021-2022 legislative session and thanking their party leaders, executives and supporters from across the Palmetto State, who proved Democrats are still competitive in South Carolina.
With the election of Lindsey Graham. Democratic leadership is needed in South Carolina more than ever. Democrats will continue to do the critical work on voter protection, registration, being a voice for the voiceless and will not rest when it comes to electing a newer bluer South.
“What we’ve seen is what this party is capable of with resources and volunteers. Now is not the time to give up the fight but redouble our efforts to build the newer bluer South we all believe in and still know is possible.”said Trav Robertson, Jr., SCDP Chairman. “To quote the words of GOP Chair Drew McKissick, this is NOT your grandad or your moms Democratic party. It is a party of young people, it is a party that is inclusive of women, the LBGTQ community and faith voters and veterans.” said the Chairman.
The South Carolina Democratic Party would like to thank all of our staff, supporters, party chairs and executive committee members for making it possible for us to touch all 46 counties during this election cycle.
